A part of the 2007 EPS Conference held in San Diego, Geivett begins by offering a basic investigation of apologetics. Geivett identifies the fact that sometimes Christians sometimes shrink from presenting the good news of the Gospel because we're afraid of not having the answers to confirm and support our convictions. This is especially the case when we consider the problem of suffering and evil. Geivett centers his discussion around the book of Job, and wrestles through the implications of God's seemingly curious relationship with us in the midst of suffering and darkness.
